Our 3rd Sonogram at 9 weeks * 3.8.13

Today at our sonogram our intentions were to check out how Baby #2 was progressing and of course check on Baby #1 again!

Unfortunately, we could not find Baby #2's heartbeat this time. Dr. Gehlbach confirmed that the heartbeat we found last week was not mine because it was too fast and not Baby #1's because it was too slow. Again, Baby #2's heartbeat was sitting at about 128bpm.

Dr. Gehlbach said that this happens more often than not in women but they aren't even aware of it because most women don't get sonograms this early in the pregnancy. He also said that Baby #1 would not be affected by this at all and will keep on growin'.

Baby #1's heartbeat was at 182bpm and boy was he/she a'movin' in there! In fact, Dr. Gehlbach said he/she was doing its morning work out! It looked as if it was doing little crunches/sit ups. It was breathtaking watching our little peanut so active in there, kicking its little legs and bobbing its head. We wish we could get sonograms every week! Unfortunately, this was our last sonogram until we hit our 20 week mark when we find out the gender of the baby.

Today was a bittersweet day, Dr. Gehlbach sent me back to the OBGyn. It's a good thing because obviously he feels comfortable with how my pregnancy is progressing but we were both sad because we love all of the Dr's and nurses at this clinic!

Before we left we were given a little "goodie bag" filled with informational books, pamphlets, and a Midwest Reproductive cup and baby onesie that read, "Special order by Dr. Gehlbach" :)

I gave the nurses hugs and exchanged emails, but surprisingly did not shed one tear. They told us that we better come back to visit when Baby Hef is born and also keep in touch through Facebook and want me to send pics of my baby bump.
