Bright 'n early Thursday morning we got up, packed up the last of our things, and headed over to the DMV to get my tags renewed! When that was all done, we hit up IHOP for breakfast, and we hit the road for Iowa!
We arrived earlier than normal so we stopped to see Grammy at work since it was right on our way home! My mom didn't want us to beat her home since we haven't seen the newly remodeled bathroom yet, so we offered to go get the last of her groceries she needed for the big weekend!
Thursday night we grilled out and enjoyed the nice weather! It's tradition for my mom and I to go shopping on Good Friday every year, so we did just that! We had a couple extras this year though... Mommy and Grammy are breaking her in early!!....
And daddy who also came along! We warned him that we shop til we drop...he dropped alittle early ;)
It was a fun day shopping, Jordie got to enjoy some of Grammy's ice cream cone at the food court and also the last of daddy's water from Chik Fil A!
We got home at a decent time so we could still enjoy the nice evening and wait for Uncle Josh's arrival!
We hung out, watched the Royals/Twins game, and had anticipated dying Easter eggs but little Jordie fell asleep soon after her bath...this is how we bathe at Grampy and Grammy's! (I didn't want to pack her baby tub, yet I don't know if she's ready for the big tub yet...she loved it!!!)
Saturday morning we woke up and had Jordyn's 6 month pictures! They went very well, here is a sneak peak!! I was so bummed, she fell asleep literally 10 minutes before her scheduled pictures at 9:00!! Just our luck...unfortunately we had to wake her up, but she was ALL smiles of course!! Such a little ham!
That afternoon we went for a walk and stopped by the Easter Egg hunt down at the park! We also ran into a few people that we knew so they got to meet Baby J as well. This whole weekend was so nice, it was so good to be outdoors without having to bundle up.
Grammy also got the swing out for Jordie, she loved it!!
Saturday afternoon Jordyn got to attend her friend Quin's 1st Birthday party! She had such a great time. Quin loved her bow and kept trying to get it off of her, it was too cute!
When we got home from Quin's party, Laura and Wade were just getting home!
It was so fun to see Jordyn and Addie reunite again :) Addie's a little go getter though so she kept moving!!....
We grilled out, played some bags, and baseball in the lot. My uncle lives right behind us and they were celebrating their Easter that night, so it was nice to hang out with and see my cousins and all of their kiddos too!
We were all up REALLY early Easter morning and got ourselves and the girls ready in their Easter best! Not before Addie giving Jordie some love though...
We had mass at 8:00 so we had to keep moving! Whoa! We're used to being up that early, but not being out the door that early "on the weekends"! It all worked out though, Jordyn slept the whole time in Grammy's arms though, she wasn't quite ready to be up and going yet:)
We walked home from mass and snapped a few Easter pictures. Our little family, love these two to the moon and back!
Then we attempted to get a few pictures of the girls together...it's not so easy anymore when Addie is on the move!
Mom had an amazing Easter brunch for us before we went out to my Grandpa and Grandma's for a later lunch. We changed the girls out of their dresses into something more casual for the farm. Grammy got Addie and Jordyn matching dresses for the occasion!
We all hung out and got the girls down for morning naps before a big afternoon ahead! We went out to the farm for a 1:00 lunch. Jordie got some ice cream for desert...Grammy spoils her too much:)
The kids loved seeing Grandpa's sheep and their new baby lambs...
A fun weekend was had by all!! Time flies when you're having fun, that's for sure!
My mom took the day off on Monday so she could hang out with us until we hit the road that afternoon. We got up and went for a walk since it was so nice. I think the wind tired this little girl out because she was out!! Last minute snuggles before saying goodbye...
And on the road we go....until next time!
