Jordyn's 1st Christmas

What a wonderful 1st Christmas we had making tons of memories we will cherish forever!

The Friday before Christmas we headed up to Iowa. We were greeted by all of my mom's homey Christmas decorations, a warm and cozy house, and lots of Christmas goodies! We were sure to set our scales back 10 lbs in advance:)

Saturday and Sunday we had lots of down time; wrapping presents, baking, cooking, snuggling, and resting up for the big holiday!

 

She got plenty of Grandma snuggles, to say the least! She sure does love her Grammy though!

On Monday we did some last minute Christmas shopping! It was fun going to Sioux City, getting in the spirit, and just hanging out. We ran into my Aunt and cousin in the mall too so we ate together.

 

Monday night we went over to Le Mars to eat at Mr. P's and look at Christmas lights!

 

Tuesday morning, Christmas Eve day, my sister, brother in law, and nieces showed up at about 10ish! It was so fun seeing Adelynn and Jordyn together once again. Jordyn isn't as "fragile" as the past couple times that they've been together:) Addie loved "touching" Jordyn and just being close to her.

We just all hung out that day and off to Christmas Eve mass we went! Jordyn in her Christmas Eve best:)

After mass, we all came home and ate alot of good food that my mom worked so hard on prepping. She always has a huge spread of food and goodies on Christmas Eve. One of the things that everyone looks forward to every year!

After all of our bellies were full stuffed, let the gift opening begin!! Mom and Dad spoil us all every year, as you can see!! Our four seasons room was full of boxes, gift wrap, gift bags, and gifts! Tis the season!:)

After all the fun and excitement, we all hit our pillows in anticipation for another big day...Christmas Day!

We all woke up, fed the babies and ourselves, got ready, and off to my Grandpa and Grandma's for Christmas lunch we went, but not before snapping a few family pictures!

I love getting together with family, all of my aunts are just so much fun and hilarious. Here is a picture of them all gathered around looking at pictures of Brenda's little granddaughter on her ipad since they couldn't join us this year.

 

Daddy loves playing cards with the cousins every year! Jordyn got to help him out this year!

Grandma's amazing sugar cookies with her special frosting, so good! I could graze on these all day:)

Jordyn was exhausted after all of her excitement the past couple days!

 

I was really sad to see Christmas all over, but lucky for us, we didn't have to head back until the Sunday after Christmas! Our little Goddaughter's (Addie) Birthday party was the Saturday afternoon after Christmas so we decided to extend our stay so that we could be there for her 1st Birthday party!

On Thursday and Friday we just hung out; watched movies, mom and I ran some errands, Mark went to work out with a buddy of his, and we all went out for Mexican Friday night. It was kind of nice having a low key couple days after a busy couple days.

One of the nights after Christmas, her and Grammy "partied" too hard! (AKA Grammy took over and spoiled little Jordy got to sleep in Grammy's bed)

On Friday morning, Sarah, Quin, and Paisley came over and we exchanged Christmas gifts! It was so nice seeing them again and catching up, as always.

Future BF/GF?? Hmmmm.....

Bumbo from Mommy and Daddy. She did rather well holding her head up on her own. I had to guide her alittle bit but she loved being able to sit up like a big girl!

And of course her Princess bear from Grampy and Grammy....they know her too well!

All in all, we had a wonderful 1st Christmas with our little girl!!! Little did we know at last Christmas that we'd be a family of 3 by this Christmas!!!!
