Jordyn is 11 months old!

I can hardly believe that my sweet, energetic, happy, fun-lovin' baby girl is going to be ONE in ONE month!! Say it isn't so!
Just a few changes in the eating and sleeping department within the past month... we got rid of her morning bottle right when she wakes up because... ever since we went on our family vacation in August this little girl slept so late that we went straight to breakfast!! Jordyn's new yet not so new schedule is: wakes up (on no-daycare mornings) between 7 and 7:30, plays/watches cartoons, eats breakfast around 7:45-8, takes an 8 oz bottle between 9-9:30 and goes down for her AM nap. She usually sleeps for 1 1/2-2 hours, eats lunch around 12, takes another 8 oz bottle at 2 and goes down for her PM nap, sleeps for about 2 hours, eats dinner around 6, and takes her last 8 oz bottle between 8-8:30 and goes down for the night! She LOVES her sippy cup with water in between and at meal times!

On daycare mornings, I almost always have to wake her up at 6:30 so we can be out the door by 6:45. Then she usually takes a LONG nap in the AM because she woke up earlier.
In the past month, Jordyn has learned how to wave bye bye! Sometimes it's with one arm, sometimes it's with both arms, especially when she gets really excited :) She definitely knows what bye bye means now so when I ask her if she wants to go bye bye, by golly we better be going!

She loves doing patty cake! I am trying to work with her to do the whole patty cake song instead of just saying "patty cake" and have her clap her hands... we are working on the roll and toss them in the air. She loves watching mommy act it out:)
In the past month, she has become super clingy!! Mommy can't seem to do anything without her high tailing it behind me to crawl up on my leg and beg for me to pick her up... she even went through a short spurt of not going to anyone else when they'd hold their hands out to her, not even daddy! Such a good feeling on mommy's part! Bless her heart, unfortunately nothing would get done around the house so I would have to distract her so that she'd let me get little things done! She has not gone through the stranger danger stage yet and don't know if she will!? She is just a social little butterfly like her mama!

Along the stranger danger lines- I should take that back- she had 2 episodes: back in June we went to the Lenexa BBQ and we went over to the tent where daddy and all the rest of the cops were hanging out. She melted down when she saw one cop in particular. She was so worked up, we ended up having to leave the tent. I felt bad for the poor guy! (lol) The second episode was in August when we met Grampy and Grammy in Omaha right before vacation. She shied toward Grampy but we blame it on Grampy's long hair as he was in desperate need of a haircut! She warmed up to him later that evening! :)
She doesn't cry too often but when she does, the pouty face she gives just breaks mommy's heart!

Just this past month she is really moving around- whether it be speed crawling, shuffling along furniture, or walking behind her activity walker. This past weekend, she actually stood alone!! When she realizes she has no support to walk though, she carefully gets back down to her knees! Little stinker:) She is going to be walking in no time.

When we are outside, she is not the biggest fan of grass or crawling on the cement. Not because it hurts, because of the texture I think, so you will see here that she is playing spider monkey to get to me!

She is still wearing size 5 diapers and mostly all 18 month clothes. She is still in a few 12 month onesies but probably because they run alittle bit bigger:) I love my chunky, happy, healthy baby!!
Mommy is in the process of planning her 1st Birthday party that is going to be at Grampy and Grammy's house the day after her birthday! We will celebrate as a family ON her birthday(Friday) and do something fun and then celebrate with extended family and friends on Saturday! We are SO excited but still want time to go by SLOW!

I can't believe this sweet girl is going to be 1! My house this year has flown by! We will officially be starting a new chapter in our lives.
