Jordyn took her first official steps on Tuesday, September 9th! Mark and I spaced ourselves apart in the livingroom and had her go back and forth between us. She was SO proud of herself and we clapped and told her how big of a girl she was and how excited we were for her. We loved seeing her excitement. This is a huge milestone for her!
Every evening we would practice "walking" and we all had fun with it!!! Finally she just got to the point of getting brave and forgetting about crawling and just go on her merry way! There were quite a few "downs" in there where she'd lose her balance and just plop on her bottom or she'd just get tired so she'd crawl.
One day we stopped and realized...she's walking everywhere... no more crawling! She is such a big girl and we are so very proud of her accomplishment. So we can say that she was officially walking before her 1st birthday!
I will admit it's alittle easier just "putting her down" when I have to unload the groceries out of the car quick or get the stroller out of the durango versus trying to hold her because I don't want to sit her on the ground.
She still makes me nervous because she likes to 'run' everywhere. She got her first big bruiser since she started walking...
She LOVES to look/yell out the window and she was going up to the window and lost her balance or tripped over her blanket and clonked her head on the window sill. Poor baby!
