Easter weekend!

On the Thursday morning before Easter weekend, we got up, ate breakfast, loaded the durango, and we were Iowa bound!

We arrived around 5:00 and before we even stepped foot in the door, we could smell "home"! AKA food cooking and goodies baking, one of the best smells ever:) That night after supper, Jordyn got to dye easter eggs!
Mom and I got up early Friday morning and had our annual Good Friday shopping day! We mixed things up a bit this time though, starting a new tradition... we got pedis!! (& mani too for mom!) Re-lax-ation!!
Unfortunately, Jordyn didn't join us for our girls day... she got to hang out with the guys! See how much fun they were having!! :) ha ha ha!
We ate Taco Johns after our pampering and did the rest of our shopping in the afternoon. We got home around 5:30ish and boy was Jordyn happy to see us! She met us out in the garage to greet us. For supper we had roast and baked potatoes!

Saturday morning Wade, Laura, Shayla, and Addie arrived around 9:30! We all hung outside and watched the girls play together. Looks like they are the ones in charge for lunch!!
They played with their kitchen set, drove their princess coupe, and took turns on the swing!
We all ate lunch and then headed down to the city park for the EASTER EGG HUNT!!!
The hunt was at 1:00, so nearing their nap times, of course. Jordyn and Addie loved playing on the playground before the hunt and I loved catching up with Kendra and seeing her cuties! After awhile we all gathered inside the shelter house so they could hide all the eggs.

She did really good actually! We had to point to the eggs at times when she'd get distracted by the other kids, but for the most part, she picked them all up herself and her Minnie bucket was half full! Yay Jordyn!! She even got to see the Easter Bunny AGAIN... :) She had Grammy to protect her this time, ha.

We put her name in a drawing and over the intercom we heard "Jordyn Hefley"! She won a set of Play-doh!

After the egg hunt, we played on the playground a bit more and then headed home so the girls could go down for a much needed nap!

When they both woke up we went out to my Grandpa and Grandma's house to set up the garage for Easter, visit, and see the new lambs. Jordyn liked the pah pah (puppy) best though I think :)
We grilled out for supper. Of course mom had a delicious spread: brats, burgers, taco salad, baked beans, fruit salad, chips and for dessert... there was cheesecake, homemade red velvet cupcakes per Mark's request, and anything else that you may have wanted! Yum yum!

That night, Auntie cut Jordyn's hair! Her very first haircut... she got about a 1/2 inch cut off. She did rather well, but thank goodness for Mickey playing on YouTube!:)
After she was done getting pampered, the girls had a blast playing with eachother and Mark joining in toward the end!
Easter Sunday, we all got up bright and early and had Easter Mass at 8:00! Believe it or not, we all made it there by 8, ha.

Jordyn did SO good in church. She at the age now where she can't sit for too long without wanting to get out of the pew. Maybe it was because she was still tired, I don't know, but Grammy held her about the whole mass and she did amazing!

After church the girls played with jelly beans and their new Frozen books from Grampy and Grammy...

and then said our goodbyes as Wade and Laura had to get back to Sioux Falls for Wade's side Easter lunch.
We did get to snap a few pictures before everyone departed!

We love these two little girls to the moon and back!

After the Wade and Laura left, we laid Jordyn down for a morning nap so she'd be up and ready to go to my mom's side for Easter lunch at 1!

Happy Easter everyone! I thank God everyday for my family, we are truly blessed.
