15 Month Well Visit & blood draw

On Friday, Jan. 9th, Mommy took off a bit early for Jordyn's 15 month well visit to Dr. Loeb! As always (knock on wood), she checked out healthy as can be! She weighed in at 26 lb 3.5 oz and was in the 90th percentile for both height and weight! So happy that she's so healthy!
Unfortunately, for her AND us, she had to get FOUR shots! :( She's getting to be much more aware now so I had to hold down her arms and the nurse giving the shots had to hold down her legs. Worst part ever!

On top of that, they attempted to get some labs drawn for her lead and iron. They could not find a vein so they did not even poke at her. She was pretty worked up:( Poor baby!
After all of that, we headed over to Chik fillet for some much deserved ice cream and play time! One of the managers (I think) gave her a little cow. This is like our 3rd one now :)
She's at the awkward age of not being able to climb up on things yet so she didn't last too long but it's the thought that counts, right? :)

Just a few stats for me to remember:
Jordyn is currently in size 5 diapers and wearing mostly 18-24 month clothes. There are a few select clothing that are 2T.

Routine: She is officially down to ONE nap a day!! She usually wakes up between 7:30-8:00. Eats breakfast around 8:30ish. Her all time favorite breakfast is probably a toaster strudel, greek yogurt and banana. That is daddy's "go-to". On the weekends she gets a full course meal: Eggs, sausage, pancakes, and/or french toast. She plays all morning if we have nothing going on in the afternoon, if we do, she usually naps from 10:30ish-1. Normally she eats lunch around 12-12:30 and goes down for a nap between 1:30-2:00. She wakes up around 4:00 and eats supper around 5:30. She usually goes down for night at 8:30. She went through a little phase of crying when we left the room but would only cry for 2ish minutes. I can handle that.

Her next appt will be for her 18 month check up. Just slow down time!

After putting it off over the weekend, on Monday the 12th, we had to go to Children's Mercy to get her labs drawn. She enjoyed coloring in the waiting room!
We were finally called back to get them drawn. We were both dreading this sooo badly! I mean, how can they find a baby vein?! Sometimes they can't even find mine!!
We had a really good phlebotomist  though who distracted her well! Unfortunately, I had to be the one to hold her and one arm down, while the phlebotomist stuck the other arm. Thank goodness she get the vein on the first attempt!!
Jordyn got to pick from the toy box and she picked a jump rope :) After getting blood drawn, we went to Texas Roadhouse to treat her with some warm rolls! Surprisingly, she was in good spirits!
