Jordyn's 1 YEAR well visit

Jordyn always loves going to see Dr. Loeb and Dr. Loeb always loves seeing us!! She refers to us as her favorite family:) It's so nice to have such a good relationship with your Pediatrician, after all, our daughter's health is in her hands!

Although Jordyn was excited to see Dr. Loeb again, she was NOT excited for the FOUR shots she had to get!! (and neither were mommy and daddy!!!) I think the hardest part this time was knowing that she is older and psychologically developed enough to know what is going on and just how bad it hurts. Our baby had tears in her eyes so mommy and daddy hurt too! Here is our sweet girl pre-shots...

Overall the appointment went great! She weighs 25.8 lbs and in the 90th percentile, only gaining 1 lb since her 9 month well visit! She's burning fat now that she's a little busy body walking!! She grew 2 inches since her 9 month, standing 30.5 in long! She is in the 90th percentile now in height too, that's a first!

Dr. Loeb told us we should be done with bottles by 15 months. She was being extra nice!! We thought for sure she'd tell us to cut her off! She assured us that it's harder on us than her to be weaned off formula so that made us feel better.

Jordyn gets to start drinking "cow's" milk! :) She has been doing okay with it so far. She gets a sippy cup of milk at each meal and water in between meals. It took alittle for her to get used to but she is finally to the point, 3ish weeks later, of drinking 3/4 of her cup of milk!

We are going to start brushing her teeth. Mommy got her a tooth brush and tooth paste so we are going to start that especially beings she has 8 teeth!

All in all, our visit went great as always. Daddy had to bee-line it to work after her appt. so mommy brought her to Dunkin Donuts for some munchkins and also went to get HER flu shot!! I told Jordyn it's only fair that if she gets pricked 4 times, I should have to get pricked at least once:)

Her next appt. will be at 15 month.
