Our little doll face is 5 months old today! Whoa, where is time going?! Bittersweet!
UNTIL she's on her tummy for too long....then she does NOT love it too much....
The minute you lay her down on the floor though, she's rollin'! Go Baby J!
And, the next BIG thing....she officially started sleeping in her crib at night! (March 1) Not going to lie, we were putting it off...we just loved having her in our room and having her close by...Believe it or not, she loves it... we put the white noise machine on and she is usually out...now that she can roll, she loves to sleep on her tummy....
She is SO fascinated with us when we eat...she watches us very closely. She has had a few tastes of yogurt and ice cream too, not nearly enough for a feeding though...she just snitches some if we are eating.
She is just discovering her fingers...as in staring at them constantly...she has obviously found them because she sucks on them all the time, but now she is in deep curiousity looking at them more. The next thing she discovers will probably be her toes.
She is a very curious little girl. She LOVES to watch mommy and daddy cook in the kitchen. She's kind of like her mommy, she gets bored easily so we let her watch us in the kitchen, let her jump in her jumperoo, lay on the floor and roll, sit on the couch, sit in her bumbo, and she also loves to sit in her high chair...oh and of course on our lap! :) Our living room looks like Jordyn's jungle gym, hehe.
Some nights she has been sleeping through the night (8p-6a) and other nights she wakes up around 2 or 3a. At this point, when she wakes up in the middle of the night, she guzzles 5 oz and goes back to bed. Don't get me wrong, I would love for her to sleep though the night every night, but sometimes I like getting up with her in the middle of the night in case she's not up before I leave for work in the morning.
She has been doing great at daycare! We are trying to get a schedule established...mid morning nap and then an afternoon nap...so far she has been doing pretty good with that. Sometimes she will only take a cat nap in the afternoon so then she will sleep when we get home from daycare around 5 and then go to bed between 7 and 8p.
All in all, she is such a good baby!! Anymore, she hardly ever cries when she's hungry. She just fusses and lets us know... when we start prepping for a feeding, she stops fussing because she knows what's coming- smart little girl!
We love this little girl SO much and cannot seem to ever get enough of her...I adore everything, and I mean everything, about her. So in love and it gets stronger everyday. Mark and I just gaze at her and talk about how blessed we are.
It's hard to believe she will be 1/2 year old next month! Here is her 1 mo picture compared to her 5 mo:
Slow down time!
