Miss Jordyn Clare is 4 months old (and growing like a weed!)! Let's just say she has plenty of rolls to go around :)
This past month(January) she started daycare and is doing well at Ms Sherrie's! She has made alot of friends there so far. She LOVES to watch them play and is just so entertained by them. Lucky for us, Ms Sherrie has the 'no touch' rule up until she is 6 months old, so all of the kids circle around her and just gaze at her. They all refer to her as Baby Jordyn which I think is just so cute. We are still working on getting her to nap at Ms Sherrie's. She naps fine for us at home but she is not on a set napping schedule. We usually let her nap in her rock 'n play which she loves and trying to get her to nap in her crib more. We have our bedtime routine down but she just kind of takes naps when she wants with us.
She typically has a midmorning nap around 9ish and then goes down again around 1ish. Lately her naps have been little cat naps, especially at daycare.
She has slept through the night a few random nights! She goes down at about 8PM and slept through til about 5AM, which is when I get up for work...Happy Mommy and Daddy!!! Hope she has alot more of these nights in the near future :) Otherwise she usually goes down around 8-8:30 and wakes up for a 5oz feeding at 3ish and then again around 6 or 7. I can't complain, she's a pretty good sleeper.
Jordyn is a VERY happy baby. You can just walk up to her and look at her and she will give you the biggest smile ever...Talk about a perfect ending to your work day!!! Mommy still counts down the hours and minutes until she gets to go home to her little girl, she just makes my day complete.
She likes to be very independent. When she is sitting on your lap, she does not want to lean up against you, she wants to sit straight up (with some guidance). She loves to stand up on our laps (Daddy has been practicing squats and arm curls with her;).
She is 'talking' ALOT more! She can go on and on and on! Sometimes it's a whiney talk and sometimes it happy talk...we like the happy talk the best! :) We've actually gotten her to giggle a few times, she loves bouncing on daddy's lap. We love her little giggle!!
She is starting to grab onto things and pull things up to her mouth. She loves her taggies and anything else grabbable that she can pull to her mouth. Ms Sherrie thinks she may be teething with how much she's drooling and wanting to chew on things. Bring on the toofers!
She is now eating between 4-6 oz each feeding usually every 3-4 hours (except during the night, she lasts longer). Sometimes she grazes on her feedings but hey, she's a baby, she does what she wants! ;)
These have been some of the best months of our lives, we are truly blessed! We still catch ourself just gazing at her and have to pinch ourselves to make sure it's reality. We tried so hard for this miracle and so happy to have her in our lives!
