On Saturday Grammy, Jordyn, and I did alittle shopping at a second hand clothing and toy store. I scored some good deals on winter pajamas and a couple toys for Jordyn! One hot buy was her most FAVORITE toy at daycare in which the kids take the balls away from her as they pop out of the top...so mommy got her her very own!! As you can see, she loves it and is going for that ball on top that just popped out:)
Saturday evening we all went to church, grilled out, and cruised in the Princess mini coupe!
On Sunday, it was overcast and kind of gloomy all day so you know what that means, perfect baking day for Grammy and Mommy!! For vacation we made chocolate chip cookies, brownie/reeces/cookie bars (to die for!), potato salad, and macaroni salad! That doesn't seem like a whole lot but it took us all morning!
That evening we ate at Taco Johns and then headed out to Great Grampy and Grammy's farm to visit. Jordyn got to see all the sheep and a baby kitty but she wasn't too crazy about her!
We stayed in the 8-plex on the campground, which is a a 3 bedroom room with 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and livingroom. It worked out great! We got checked into our room early and unpacked and just relaxed and had a few cold beverages that afternoon!!
Jordyn loves margaritas! ;) Shhh, don't tell daddy!
That evening around 6ish daddy arrived!! Jordyn was so excited to see him (as we all were:)) She loved pushing the wagon around as an alternative walker.
Every morning was pretty relaxing which is what vacation is all about... we did not get up before 7:30 which is rare for me (& Jordyn)!! In fact, there was one morning that I woke up and showered before Jordyn even got up!! I had to go in and wake her up one morning because it was 9:10!! That's usually when she goes down for her AM nap if that tells you anything lol!!! Needless to say, we were a bit off schedule BUT she still got her AM and PM naps in which equaled a happy girl!!
Tuesday was a funfilled day of boating and Barefoot Bar!!
Jordyn fell asleep right before we got to the Barefoot Bar so Mark and I stayed out in the boat with her until she woke up...Trevir and Jodi met up with us for about a half hour and then had to go get their baby at daycare- kept forgetting it was a work day for most people!:)
We thought that was her nap for the afternoon but nope, on our way back to get the boat out of the water, she fell asleep again! The boat definitely relaxes her :)
That evening we got cleaned up and made the girls pose, yet again, in their new onesies Grammy got them. Older and Wiser/Younger and Cuter:
Love these little girls so much! They are at the age of 'fighting' over toys so it seemed as if we had to correct and redirect them especially when they were playing with Jordyn's favorite new toy! Girls will be girls :)
Trevir, Jodi, and Aspyn came out to the campground that evening and grilled out with us!
I know it's not Mark's Birthday yet but we thought this was a perfect time to surprise him with Mom's home made susie filled cupcakes made especially for him!! Everyone went crazy over them!
Wednesday was another day of boating!!
Unfortunately, my sister and her family had to head home that day and fortunately my girl Sarah came up to spend the day on the water with us!! We stopped at the Dry Dock for lunch and then enjoyed yet some more cold beverages...it's vacation right?!
We grilled out that evening and then Sarah hit the road... we headed to the Emporium and walked down by the lake and over to Arnold's Park. Such a beautiful night it was!
And then of course we stopped for ice cream on our way back to the campground to cool off:) We tried the chip ahoy cookie blizzard and daddy and grampy got twist cones!
Thursday was the day that Miss Jordyn slept in til 9:10! This week was tiring her out! :) My brother arrived that morning around 9:30 and we were off to our favorite breakfast place that had humungous cinnamon rolls!!! I think Jordyn liked them more than us!
We let our tummies settle after our big breakfast/lunch and then headed to Arnold's Park for the afternoon!
Grampy bought a few tickets for Jordyn to go on rides. She got to ride the train around the whole park with Grammy.
She also got to ride the carousel with Grammy and I two different times because she loved it so much! My heart gets so full when I see excitement in her eyes and see how much fun she's having!
After Arnold's we walked over to Bob's Drive in on the lake to get a midafternoon snack that consisted of Malts, french fries, and burgers for the guys:)
That evening we went for a relaxing cruise on the boat... Jordyn made more of a fuss over her life jacket than she ever has before:(
But she didn't think it was too bad after all when she got to be a big girl and drive Grampy's boat!!!
She was on top of the world! She's a pretty good driver too!
That evening when we got back to the campground we grilled out again and played some BAGS!
And then came Friday.... Nooo! Typically I LOVE Fridays, but not this Friday...we had to head back home (to Grampy and Grammy's).
It didn't seem to bother Jordyn though... or it just hasn't hit her yet! She loves powdered donuts!
The guys headed straight home and us girls made a pit stop in Spencer to see my friend, Kendra, who just had her little boy, Grant Rodney! This is Kendra and Lucas's 3rd so they will have her hands full! So happy for her and her cute "little" family!
