Jordyn is 9 months old!

 Strike a pose! I'm 9 months old!!!
Since we live such busy lives nowadays, mommy never got the chance to do the traditional monthly "photo shoot", but these are all pictures within a few days of her 9 month 'birthday'!

Jordyn got to go up to Okoboji for the first time ever ON her 9 month birthday!!! She also got her first boat ride on that day and fell asleep within minutes of getting her life jacket on! After about 2 hours of sleeping, she woke to enjoy some of the ride!
Jordyn has a pretty strict routine that she goes by. She is still sleeping through the night, even with teething!(yay!) I think she has a mental alarm clock because she is always up in the morning by 5:59, 6:00, or 6:01 :) When she wakes up she usually just gnaws on her blanky, rolls in her crib, or pulls herself up on the side and just 'talks'. She loves her crib!! It is the best thing ever going in her room in the morning and seeing that great big smile! She is definitely a morning person, unlike her daddy:) In the morning she watches cartoons right when she gets up. Right now she loves Doc McStuffins, Jake and the Neverland Pirates and of course Mickey. She usually takes a 5 oz bottle around 6:30. She eats breakfast around 8:00 every morning and takes a 3-5 oz bottle before her AM nap between 9 and 9:30. She sleeps until about 11:30 or even 12 some days! She eats lunch when she wakes up and takes a 5 oz bottle before her PM nap between 2 and 3, depending on when she wakes up from her AM nap. She usually sleeps until 4-4:30 and eats supper at 5:30. Play time until bed time at 8. She eats anywhere from 8-12 oz before bed time. Maybe that's why she sleeps through the night?! :)
Speaking of bed and nap time... I still try to rock her before nap and bed, but sometimes she just wants to take her bottle(ba-ba) and roll in her crib. My baby is getting so big and so independent! Like mentioned earlier, she is the happiest baby ever when waking from her slumber- this is what I saw when I walked into her room after her weekend nap. I love this little girl SO much, she makes me so happy!!!

Jordyn has 6 teeth now!! Her top two finally came in and we knew they were coming in too!! She was not the typical teething baby, but she was not herself. We lived by tylenol before bed time and teething tablets for nap times. She is finally back to her happy self again!

Unfortunately Jordyn has learned what "no, no, no" means. It breaks my heart having to scold her because she gives you the little fat bottle lip that a bird could poo on and cries, but most often we have to say no, no, no so that she doesn't get hurt! She loves to go up to our entertainment center and pull herself up. She knocked her forehead a couple times on that and got a bruise. Speaking of pulling herself up, she goes for anything and everything she can pull herself up on!

Jordyn can hold her own ba-ba now and loves feeding herself with finger foods. The only thing she really lets us feed her anymore with a spoon is greek yogurt and ice cream, which she loves! We have officially retired all of her jarred baby foods. Some foods that she's tried so far that we've had success with is: homemade mac n cheese, pasta, chicken nuggets, fajita chicken, hamburger, cheese curls, blueberries, french toast, pancakes, toaster strudel, jelly on bread, oatmeal cream cookies, graham crackers and I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting. At daycare she gets fed very well and sometimes Ms Sherrie has to fill her tray up 3 times! We've definitely got a good eater on our hands!

She just recently learned how to do Patty Cake... Grammy taught her that one. If you say Patty Cake, she puts her hands together and attempts to clap, it's so cute! She babbles "da-da-da-da" and that just makes daddy the happiest man on earth :) We are working on "ma-ma-ma-ma" now!!

Of course she gets spoiling every day but she got extra spoiling a couple days after her 9 month birthday. She got her very own Birthday Party mini swirl! She loved it!

She is wearing some 12 mo clothes, but a majority are 18 mo! She is in size 4 diapers.

Here is a quick recap of a few of Jordyn's firsts during the past month: 1st Royals game, 1st time sitting in a fire truck, 1st time in Okoboji on the boat, and 1st motorcycle ride with Grampy and Grammy! She loved ALL of them! She is such a happy, content, and "go with the flow" baby.
Here's to another great month of firsts, laughs, smiles, and pure happiness!
