We were all up at the crack of dawn Thursday morning to get our day started! Daddy went to the gym at 4:30AM (like normal) and mommy and Jordie went for a walk at 6AM beings it was 70 degrees out! I always envy all those joggers, bikers, and walkers out early in the morning when I bring Jordyn to daycare, so Thursday we were one of them! I love mornings!
Daddy saw us on the trail on his way home from the gym so surprised us and met us half way! That's the second time he's done that, we love surprises :) We got home, freshened up, and hit the road for Iowa!!! Before leaving the city, we made a pit stop at the Chiro so daddy could get an adjustment... we waited patiently in the car
We got up to Iowa just in time for my 2:30 dentist appointment, boo dentist! That evening we went for a walk and grilled out= perfection!
Friday morning Jordyn took her routine morning nap...
And then we headed out to Great Grampy and Grammy's house for a visit and even stayed for lunch! They definitely enjoyed being with Jordyn and having some one on one time, versus being so busy/distracted every holiday that we have had together with everyone being around...
Grammy got off at noon that day so that afternoon we went for a walk. We also baked a few things - cupcakes that mom and I love, angel food that Mark loves, and brownies that my dad and Mark love... so spoiled and had a sugar overload :) Ya only live once, right?? Hehe.
Daddy even shared some of his angel food cake with his little cupcake, how sweet of him! :)
Friday night the guys were on grill duty again! Tis the season!!
Saturday morning we watched cartoons and hung out... it was kind of a dreary morning so couldn't do much outside...with that being said, Jordyn did get her morning push ups done indoors!
And then she rested and watched her favorite cartoons!
Saturday afternoon we all snoozed and then enjoyed the beautiful weather! My sister and Addie rolled in around 3 that afternoon...
Some rain moved in so we moved the party inside for a short while!...
Jordie and Addie seemed to always want the same toys...silly girls...
So we finally got them to each have their own and be happy :)
After the rain, my sister and I took the girls to the park... they loved it!!
We got home just in time for some grilled steak and burgers! Yum! Addie opted for some left over steak fajitas that Grammy made for lunch...
That evening Jordyn and Addie had their very first bath together! We've been waiting for Jordyn to get alittle older so that she could sit in the tub with Addie! They had so much fun together... Grammy even bought a fun little bath light toy for the tub, that kept them very entertained...
Sunday, Mother's Day, we all went to church together at 8:00. We came home from church and hung around, opened gifts, and then went for lunch at a local Mexican Restaurant.

Anyone can be called a Mother, but it takes a special kind of woman to be a good Mom. Our mom is not only our mother, but also our best friend. She would do anything and everything for us, AND our babies. After all, only the best moms get promoted to Grandmas! :)
My 1st official Mother's Day with my sweet girl... I am beyond blessed to have the opportunity to be Miss Jordyn Clare's mommy! She is my world!! She fills my heart with so much love and joy... she's the only one that knows what my heart sounds like from the inside <3
